Identity Development
In order to achieve an identity that focuses on the importance of discovery, I wanted to determine the overall goals of those who might visit the museum. I chose to focus on three phrases: “DISCOVER”, “ENGAGE”, and “EXPLORE”.
Using this concept, I leaned into the idea of exploration and engagement through bold colors and fun shapes that would peak interest from even a far distance. I wanted people to “discover” what the visuals meant, soliciting their curiosity from the get-go.
I started developing bold and fun posters that represented these ideas, while also staying in line with a minimalist and modern aesthetic that would play well in Scandinavian design culture.
Exhibition Poster
Continuing to place a focus on discovery and exploration, I wanted to stay in line with that identity I had begun to develop and implement it into a poster for a potential exhibition at the museum.
These posters are unique in their own right, however, implementing gradients and the blending of shapes in order to create a sense of intrigue that may cause people to want to learn more. Big, bold graphics entice them to lean in, when they can find more specific info on the bottom right of the poster.
